Our Journey

Our family’s business journey started in the year 1897 when our great grandfather Late Shri Harnarain Mal Bahal started a saree shop in Lahore with the name of L. Harnarain Mal Bahal.

The business grew in many folds and with the addition of several branches around the country and later Varanasi becoming the headquarter of the operation

In the year 1947 during the partition time the Bahal Clan migrated from Pakistan to India and further retained the growth momentum from Varanasi Establishment.

After the demise of Shri Harnarain ji his son Late Shri Jai Gopal Ji took over the leadership baton and further added to the growth. He was rated as well established brand in himself and took the Art of Banarasi Saree weaving and production to new height with addition of various novel style of weaving techniques.

The saree industry boomed in Varanasi and so the growth of the family whose reigns were in the hand of Late Shri Ram Gopal Bahal (1934-2014). Apart from textile he diversified his interest to Real Estate development with next generation Shri Deepak Kumar Bahal joining the business. The first project of real estate development was successfully taken up in the year 1989 as HARNARAIN VIHAR since then galloping journey is on, with numerous successful real estate projects.
